In-Home Newborn Photography Session – Barrington

Hi there!  Me again 🙂

People ask me often why I do in-home newborn photography sessions and do not have a studio for my newborn photo sessions.
The short answer is I don’t want a studio.  😳  I’m sure there are quite a few newborn photographers dropping their jaws that I just said that.  But it’s true, and I’m all about truth both in real life and social media life.

The Long Answer

The truth is that, even though it’s been 9 years, I vividly remember what it was like being a new mother.
I remember the incredible joy and the overwhelming love you feel for that tiny, little human you created;
but, I also remember that achy body, the exhaustion and the stress of “am I doing everything right?”
in those first few weeks.  I remember feeling like leaving the house was a much bigger challenge then it had ever been before,
and I wished everything could just be delivered to me.

So when I began my photography business 9 years ag0, those memories brought me
to the decision to offer in-home newborn photography.  Is it tougher for me?  Sure.  There is lots of traveling, and lighting and space can be iffy from one home to the next.  But it is sooooo much easier for my clients – those new moms and dads,
who are just wishing for everything to be delivered to them.

I’m here for you new parents!  I hear you, I see you, I was you.
